• Radar calibration (distance pilot) is the system that controls the distance to the car in front when you are in cruise control mode. It is the biggest input in the crash mitigation system, where seat belts are retracted, brakes are pumped up and the crash warning system.
• Around View Monitoring system (360-degree camera). This system is the set of cameras dotted around the vehicle. These cameras’ graphics need to be placed to get an accurate birds-eye view picture of the vehicle.
• Lane keeping assist system multi-function cameras (MFK). This system takes care of the car staying between the lines on the road but also takes care of following the vehicle in front of you. The MFK takes care of the ILS which cuts out illumination for oncoming and followed vehicles, even on winding roads.
• We will discuss both static, dynamic calibration and simple diagnostics.
