During this high tech course, you will learn about digital & analogue inputs of a microprocessor and duty cycle control. You will learn how to make a simple circuit to convert a PWM signal into an analogue input or control a digital output. You will also learn how to write basic ECU software from scratch.
COURSE ID: EMS2-1
DURATION: 2 DAYS
Prerequisites: You must have completed Firstline Diagnostics (EMS1-1), Modern Petrol Engine Control (EMS1-3), and Broadband Oxygen Sensor (EMS1-6).
Equipment: ATS scope, all test boards and chips provided.
Chip Programming
In this seminar, we will teach you about chip hardware technology and CPU software flow. We will start with the basics of chip wiring diagrams, amplification circuits, through driving high current actuators with very low (chip) currents.
Software Programming
We will show you how to write closed-loop software and make it work in a simulator. You will be able to upload your software and make it work in real-time on a chip driven circuit.
Building Circuits
Within the seminar, we will show you how to build an airmass sensor recalibration software and circuit, timed switching software and circuit, duty cycle controlled actuator software and circuit and E-OBD rear oxygen sensor simulating software.
