In most garages is air-conditioning maintenance is seen as not an option. When a vehicle is offered for repair with an aircon. failure the most common conclusion most garages seem to reach is to drop the vehicle off at the Aircon service guys for a re-gas. 

In many cases the recharge will not solve the problem, it may take care of the normally long overdue regular maintenance the system required but not a leaking system, or an electronic fault.
